Acrylics on board, 61x46cm: This was painted from a sketch made on location at Crieff in Perthshire and shows this flaming red sun dropping behind Laggan Hill turning the sky on fire. It's amazing how you can put up with the freezing cold to do your drawing when faced with this fantastic sight! This morning was the winter solstice (06:08GMT) and today was the shortest day so it's downhill all the way to spring! Yippee!!!Saturday 22 December 2007
