You have spoken with paint what no one can put into words.

Well done.

Keep going.

Thanks to you both.

I've not been keeping going for a wee while there having got a dose of the dreaded lurghi from Harry. Seems what he gets one week he passes on to me the next :o( It took a fair bit out of me.

But I have managed to get back out to the studio this last weekend and am making these "Subconscious Musings" each morning, this one as a direct response to the horrific scenes in Japan.

Not sure where I am going with them but perhaps you guys will be good enough to tell me if it's not worth it!

ps: Have both of you got your settings set to prevent email messages when you leave a comment? It's happened a couple of times with you, and also Sheila Vaughan, but not Lisa. Very strange. As far as I can see my settings are correctly set. Very strange.

Onwards and upwards.

Excellent drawing. Sometimes events such as the tsunami in Japan creates work naturally. This seems to have come out of you subconsiously. This is one of your important works.

Whenever you can get into the studio, it's a good day. Keep trying to go there. And, perhaps you'll want to take at least 1,000 iu's of vitamin D3 each day. My college boy no longer catches every little thing that goes around now that he's taking it. Hugs to the little one.

Gosh, no, I don't have any setting to prevent email messages. I did enable 'comment moderation' on my blog after one too many spam messages, but otherwise, no. Hope you'll try again, or write privately.

Looking forward to more art!

See, there you are...no email notification from either Melinda or Melanie but an email telling me Peter had left a comment. Very strange. Perhaps it's just Letters From America?

I wouldn't normally do any artwork on a Monday (too busy playing Stuff The Bear in a Kleenex Tissue Box with Harry) but having sat mesmerised and horrified in front of the telly over the weekend and just about overwhelmed by the images of fracture and broken structure and cars on roofs I sneeked an hour in the studio (while he napped) to muse on how this felt to me. This was the inadequate result but still needed expression.
I appreciate your comments, Peter. Thanks.

Having questioned that yesterday, Melanie, I remembered today that the purpose of these Musings was simply to get myself drawing and painting in the morning without having to create any masterpieces. They are what they are without judgement tho' sometimes they are more satisfactory than others...like this one. And I agree, they are definitely worth it. Glad you agree also :o)

Melinda, Melinda, Melinda (haven't called you that for a while!) Yes, after a long hiatus when I didn't know my a from my e I am getting a good few hours in the studio, doing lots, but apart from this Musing on Tsunami's, not too much else to write about yet. It will come for I will persevere.

Told Harry about your hugs. He just blew out his banana custard all over me. Tsk, kids :o) Must give him some D3 and take a few myself. Thanks for the tip but I won't reciprocate the hugs to your "little one"...he might not appreciate them.

More drawing and painting coming up. Have a nice day, y'all!

You made me laugh out loud with your story about little Harry, and your reference to sending a hug to my baby! Ha! Ha, indeed!

Don't know what the proper dosage for a toddler is, but adults can safely take 1000 iu's per day. Prolly wanna check with the pediatrician. Of course, I know you will.

For your humor of the day, from The Thomas Ranch, Bisbee, Az: "Never kick a cow patty on a hot day!"
And, remember:
"Courage is being scared to death and saddling up anyway."

"Hi Ho Silver, Awaaay..." was always a favourite from my childhood. In fact it's still a favourite, but now that I've seen "She's as pretty as a wagon" I'm having my doubts :o)

Thanks for the link and the list, Melinda.
I will treasure it always.
