Double Three!

Which is not bad at all since it adds up to a 6! [for all you inadequate innumerate adders out there]. And this six takes me forward and up a short ladder to a land of great promise, sunshine and twittering birdies (except I shouldn’t get too carried away for ye never know the next snake around the corner). But we’ll have no negative thinking here, for a corner has indeed been turned and it’s full steam ahead, damn the torpedoes:

"Fun Fur Two", Acrylics on canvas, 31x23cm.

"High Ball", Acrylics on canvas, 31x23cm.

"Emma", Acrylics on canvas, 31x23cm.This is my favourite of the three since it is closer to what my intentions really are.

Holy COW!!!!!

I go away for the weekend and look what happens when I'm not looking.

As the song says: Give us more to see.

I like the linear qualities of these - and the colour relationships in 'Emma' are lush particularly the cool verses hot hot hot!

Thanks Jels! I was flagging for a while there but seem to have found my impetus again :o)
Thanks for commenting.

Lisa! How are things in Dorset...we've had winter thrust upon us here again today (not so hot, hot, hot) hope it's much kinder where you are.
Having gone off for a while exploring other forms of expression I always return eventually to linear markings. I suppose I must just give in and accept that this is the way I do it. And that will be the authenticity I am searching for.
Thank you so much for commenting.

Yep, the last one is my favourite too. Shades of Diebenkorn and abstract expressionism I think. I like the way that red shape upper left confidently defines the whole image somehow.

Those are truly truly amazing paintings! You should show them to a local museum. GREAT!! Check out my bolg at

Thanks Sheila, I work away at it but only occassionally does something of any worth appear.

Sorry it's taken me so long to respond but thank-you for commenting.
