She is only the second person (with an empty brain) to receive this prestigous accolade, and from Hens Forth will be known as...Lady Sleekit (as in "Wee sleekit, cowrin', tim'rous beastie) frae Aft Agley (as in "the best laid schemes o' mice an' men gang aft agley").

Keep up the guid work, hen!

Either I'm in for something or the haggis I had last night is talkin' back to me, but I think there is about to be a big change coming soon that will complete the circle and make a helluva lot more sense.

Is that possible I hear you ask?

Love the title, and it is one of my most favourite words to use. I often use my Scots "words" (I live in Australia and have done for the last 19 years).

It can confuse or befuddle some but I am educating those I know, some of whom even use them in conversation now LOL. Often there is no suitable substitute for one of the words anyway.

Hi Ev - ye thought I'd missed ye!
But no, I aim to answer every person who graces me wi' their comments. So thanks for yours :o)

Ah've had a peek at yer blogsite but with little info tae go on I would guess ye are a Scots lassie yersel, far far frae hame?
Where ur ye from? I might know yer granny!

"Sleekit" is indeed a brilliant word but you will see from latest post I have decided it's no quite right fur a lady, so ah've changed it.

And ye will be very glad tae know that our present Scottish Government (SNP) is pledging support with more resources to teach the auld Scots language in schools so a'body can converse the warld ower, even in Oz!
